Wild Women 8K Run/Walk
We have been selected by the Wild Women 8K Run/Walk to receive the proceeds from this event (thanks to Eva Rosvold of Fundamental Fitness).  This is quite an honor plus incredibly beneficial to our fund.  I have attached the information.  Please consider participating, donating a raffle item and/or goody bag item.   This is a ‘women only’ run/walk on April 3rd.

Wine & Cheese Social
Yvonne Reinsch & Shabri Moore will be treating us with a ‘Members Only’ Wine & Cheese Social sometime this Spring from 5 to 7.   This is simply a fun gathering for the members of the Women’s Giving Circle so there will be no program (no guests please).  More information to follow.

Annual Tea
On Friday, June 12th, we hold our fourth annual tea from 3-5pm at Dutch's Daughter, 581 Himes Avenue. This event serves as our annual meeting as well as the announcement of the grants.  Members of the Giving Circle and invited and are encouraged to bring a potential member for the Circle as their guest

In February, August and November, we hold luncheons where we spotlight one or more of our grant recipients, and where we receive information from a guest speaker about issues in our community and beyond that are facing women and their dependents.  

Past speakers have included Dr. Barbara Brookmeyer, Chairman of the Health Department of Frederick County, Sandy Cavalier, director of the Womens’ Center at Frederick Community College,  Chief Kim Dine of the Frederick City Police Department, Barbara Martin, CEO of Heartly House Inc. and Shirley Sandage, of "Advocacy for Women".
